My Favorite Lipsticks for Fall

I'd like to preface this post with the fact that I am not exactly a beauty guru. I have my basic routine down to a science and it consists of all neutrals and very little variation. Like, sometimes, I wear gold eye shadow and that's if I'm feeling fancy.  So yes, my every day make-up is boring, predictable, most importantly easy

That being said, I fucking love lipstick. I think it's maybe my second most bought beauty product after blush. I will buy it in every color of the rainbow, I will buy a red lipstick even though I have one that's almost exactly like it, I will buy two of the same lipstick if I really like it. My make up bag in my purse consists solely of the lipsticks I've worn that week.

And my favorite season for lipstick is fall because fall is when everyone wears super dark vampy lips, which are more in my comfort zone than bright corals and pinks. I've complied this list of my favorites for this year, this is my first make up post, so I apologize for the weird lighting and whatnot. Also I could not take a close up of my lips without getting seriously wigged out, so I'm sorry if these are a little hard to see. I did some swatches on my arm!
(from left to right - Kat Von D liquid lipstick in Lolita, MAC Cherry lipliner w/ MAC RiRi Woo lipstick , MAC Vino lipliner w/ NYX matte lip creme in Copenhagen, Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipstick in Heathers, MAC Nightmoth lipiner with MAC Sin lipstick)
Kat Von D liquid lipstick in Lolita
I have a love/hate relationship with this one. On one hand, it's super long-wearing, doesn't do all the weird gross stuff that liquid lipsticks can do (I.E that weird pilling thing?? I hate that. Or when it fades in the center, that's super annoying), but on the other hand - the color hasn't remained consistent through out the time it's been in production and it sometimes makes my teeth look yellow. But it's the perfect muted color for an easy neutral lip! I also have the Studded Kiss Lipstick version of this and I really enjoy that one too, it's just not as long lasting.

MAC Cherry lipliner w/ MAC RiRi Woo lipstick
I love bright red lipstick and this has been my go to combination for that perfect pin up look for awhile now. I use RiRi Woo so sparingly because it's one of my favorites and I did not buy a back up for it. Ruby Woo is okay, just not as blue toned which I feel looks better on me.

NYX matte lip creme in Copenhagen w/ MAC Vino lipliner
NYX matte lip cremes are some of my favorite drug store lip products, they're easy to apply and decently long lasting. I like to add a lipliner most of the time so I can go longer without reapplying. Copenhagen is also a good dupe for MAC's Rebel lipstick!

Anastasia liquid lipstick in Heathers
This one kind of looks a lot like the last lipstick, whoops! They're totally different I swear! I was so excited when Anastasia came out with their line of liquid lipsticks. I had really loved limecrime's Wicked liquid lipstick, but I don't like the company and to be honest, the quality wasn't all that great either. When I saw Heathers I thought it looked so similar to Wicked that I bought it immediately. It's so good, the color is beautiful!  It wears better than Wicked too.

MAC Nightmoth lipliner w/ MAC Sin lipstick
I first found out about this lipliner/lipstick combination after I had found a picture on tumblr and did endless research to find out what lipstick it was. I figured out it was Sin, but at the time it was only available online for some reason? So dumb, you can totally buy it in stores now! Sin on it's own is more of a purple red, but with Nightmoth is becomes this perfect deep burgundy, verging on almost being super dark purple. It's definitely been a favorite for fall for a few years now, I feel so badass with it on.

Those are my top five at the moment, but I'm sure as the season goes on I'll find even more that I really like. What are your favorite lipsticks for fall? Let me know, I'd love to try them out!
